DEATHS: Earl W. Dody, 92

Earl Wilburn Dody, 92, Lenexa, died late Saturday, Sept. 23, at the Delmar Gardens in Lenexa. He was a retired farmer and employee of of the Army Ammunition plant in Parsons.



Services were Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the West Liberty United Methodist Church with Bill Riley officiating. Burial was at the West Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel.



He was born Sept. 24, 1907, to Joseph Washington and Magdalene Reed Dody in Marion. On June 9, 1930, he was married to Vera Margaret Facklam, who survives and lives in Lenexa.



He is also survived by two sons, Roy W. of Norfolk, Va., and Jerald W. of Aurora, Colo.; three daughters, Lois Osborn of Overland Park, Janet Sutherland of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Marilyn Demsky of Chesterfield, Mo.; a sister, Ida McCulloch of Marion; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
