WEDDINGS: Waggoner, Adams exchange vows June 10

Kristina Marie Waggoner, Chanute, and Kyle Richard Adams, Hillsboro, were married June 10 at the First Baptist Church, Chanute, with Rick Qualls officiating the double-ring ceremony.



Parents of the couple are Hank and Becky Waggoner, Chanute, and Lyman and Marie Adams, Hillsboro. Grandparents are Lyman and Doris Adams, Hoxie; Max and Vada Cartmill, Ottawa; Robert and Donna Cunningham, Prairie Village; Ruth Waggoner, Chanute.



Carrie McGee, Burlington, served as the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Allison Warrington, Overland Park; Kara Adams, Hillsboro, sister of the groom. Megan Slater, Kansas City, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl.



Ushers were Brian Waggoner, Chanute, brother of the bride; John Stous, Manhattan; Joshua Cartmill, Baton Rouge, La., and Luke Cartmill, Tualatin, Ore., both cousins of the groom. Austin Rickabaugh, Chanute, was the ringbearer.



Kane Adams, brother of the groom, Hillsboro, served as best man; Trent Lambert, Kansas City, Mo; and Kevin Winter, Hillsboro, were groomsmen.



Vocalists were Amy Heaton, Lawrence, and Jeremy Mohn, Overland Park. Julia Correll, Chanute, was the pianist.



Gift carriers were Megan and Erik Anderson, Lawrence, cousins of the groom; Katie and Melissa Slater, Kansas City, cousins of the bride; Peter and Ruth Ruggles, Winfield, cousins of the groom.



The guestbook was attended by Amanda Carraway and Lindsay Warrington, both of Manhattan.



A reception dinner and dance was held following the ceremony at the Chanute Country Club.



Reception assistants were Amanda Breiner, Topeka; Diane Long, Pratt; and Kelli Lucke, Lawrence.



The bride is a 1995 graduate of Chanute High School. She attended Independence Community College and Kansas State University, where she will graduate this year with a degree in elementary education. She is employed as a third-grade teacher in Chanute.



The groom is a 1995 graduate of Hillsboro High School and a 1999 graduate of Kansas State University with a degree in agribusiness. He is employed as a grain merchandiser for Leroy Cooperative, Leroy.



After the honeymoon in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple reside in Iola.



A rehearsal dinner prepared and hosted by the groom’s parents was an informal outdoor buffet dinner at the home of the bride’s parents June 9.
