LETTERS: Chorale silent this fall

ORIGINALLY WRITTEN CALVIN BULLER, CONDUCTOR

HILLSBORO
For 11 years, Cottonwood Chorale has brought beauty and quality of life to singers and concert-goers in the Marion County area. Congregations in Newton and Wichita have also enjoyed the sounds of the chorale.

We are very thankful to the churches and schools for the use of facilities and music offered to us at no charge. We developed a loyal following after our premier concert in 1989. We are grateful for the outstanding local support.

The chorale will not sing this season because of declining enrollment brought on by congested schedules. We hope to organize and sing again in the 2001 season. We hope more singers will join us to continue the legacy already in place.
