Hillsboro Community Medical Center is planning a “Sack Lunch for HCMC” fund-raiser Thursday, Sept. 14.

The money raised will be used to purchase items used for resident activities in the Long Term Care Unit.

Lunches will be delivered to businesses in Hillsboro. The cost is $5 for a sandwich, chips, salad and a cookie.

HCMC has also established a “Dish Fund” to be used to replace dishes which are worn, faded and in need of replacement.

It has been estimated the current set of dishes has served more than 1 million meals. The estimated cost of the project exceeds $1,400.
