New risk-management club to form

K-State Research and Extension-Marion County will again form a risk management club to help farmers and agribusiness women and men study risk management issues facing today’s food producers.

The club is designed to help class members learn more about risk management topics relating to production, marketing, legal issues, the environment and how this knowledge can help them manage risk in their business better.

An organizational meeting is planned for 7:30 p.m, Aug. 29, at the Marion County Courthouse, Third Floor Courtroom.

Interested persons will discuss potential topics, class meeting dates and times and meeting location. All interested persons are invited to attend. Membership in the club costs $25 which includes a Risk Management Notebook.

For more information about the risk management club contact Steve Tonn at the Marion County Extension Office at 316-382-2325.
