Slater performs in state Masonic band

Beth Slater, a student from Hillsboro High School, played the bass drum at the 17th annual Kansas Masonic All-State High School Marching Band at Washburn University, July 25-29.



Slater attended the five-day band camp in Topeka with 192 other musicians from across the state. Edward Higgins and his Washburn staff directed the camp. The band gave pre-game and half-time performances at the East-West Shrine Bowl football game July 29.
