Hearing will focus on removing Lehigh school buildings

The City of Lehigh will hold a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14, regarding the demolition and removal of the abandoned school building there.



City leaders are considering submitting an application to the Kansas Department of Commerce & Housing for Small Cities Community Block Grant funds under the community facility category.



The estimated cost of the project is $73,838, with a grant request of $66,454.



Other project proposals introduced at the public hearing will be considered. Oral and written comments will be recorded and become part of the town’s Kansas CDBG Citizen Participation Plan.
