DEATHS: Dorothea White, 87

Dorothea Mae White, 87, homemaker and employed in interior painting and finish work, died July 1 at Memorial Hospital, McPherson.

Services were held July 6 at Canton United Methodist Church, with Sandy DesPlas officiating. Burial was at Canton Township Cemetery.

She was born Dec. 1, 1912, to J.J. and Vera May Nirider Crowther in Roxbury. On Aug. 26, 1936, she was married to Lloyd H. White, who predeceased her.

Survivors include a son, Dennis of McPherson; a daughter, Deanna Zeitlow of McPherson; a brother, Glennon Crowther of Durham; a sister, Doris White of Marquette; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial funds have been established for Canton United Methodist Church and the Memorial Hospital Emergency Room Fund.

Henry Woody, 63

Pastor Henry Wade Woody, 63, died July 5 at his residence in Morris, Okla.

Services were held July 8 at Salem Baptist Church, Hitchita, Okla., with Kent Kellogge, Terry Pittman and Wade Harelson officiating. Burial was at Lackey Cemetery, Hitchita.

He was born July 19, 1936, to James G. Woody and Blanche Pleasant in Knox County, Tenn. On June 13, 1959, he was married to Mary Flynn, who survives him.

He is also survived by two daughters, Sunshine and husband Coyie Gunter Jr. of Okmulgee, Okla., and Connie and husband Ward Motes Jr. of Garland, Texas; a son, James and wife Robin of Nashville, Tenn.; four brothers, Dan and wife Carolyn, Wayne and wife Becky, Paul and Gary and wife Geraldean, all of Tennessee; four sisters, Lena Earls, Holly Carter, Irene and husband Claude Swatzell and Priscilla and husband Scott Clark, all of Tennessee; and six grandchildren.
