On Thursday, July 6, the video “Happiness is a Hamburger” will be shown following lunch. It will discuss how nutritious hamburgers are.

The video “Are We There Yet?” will show how to fasten seat belts and carseats when transporting children. It also will show which seats will hold children and answer other questions regarding law requirements.

On July 13, Mary McFadden, registered nurse, will be available at the Senior Center for foot care and blood pressures beginning at 9 a.m.

The following volunteered their services at the center last week:

Kitchen: Gladys Jantz, Rose Hatcher, Irma Groening, Irma Koop, Judy Malin, Elda Ebel, Aileen Miller, Vi Suderman and Mariann Unruh.

Meal drivers: Elgin Bartel and Velber Bevan.

FISH transportation: Lorraine Shumaker, Albert Fadenrecht, Malinda Suderman and Irene Seibel.


July 5: Taco salad or taco burger, cinnamon applesauce, Amish sugar cookie.

July 6: Oven fried chicken, mashed potatoes/gravy, cucumber/tomato salad, cinnamon roll, hot spiced peaches.

July 7: Roast turkey, mashed potatoes/ gravy, Italian zucchini, bread dressing, fresh fruit.

July 10: Meat loaf, scalloped potatoes, spinach salad, whole wheat roll, honeydew.

July 11: Chicken casserole, green beans, whole wheat roll, peach crisp.

July 12: Roast beef, mashed potatoes/ gravy, creamy cucumbers, whole wheat roll, chocolate orange cake.
