DEATHS: Walter Unruh, 86

Walter H. Unruh, 86, farmer, died June 27 at Hillsboro Community Medical Center.



Services were held July 1 at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church, with Tim Sullivan and Roy Keller officiating. Burial was at Gnadenau Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.



He was born March 31, 1914, to Henry P. Unruh and Millie Schmidt in Marion County. On May 30, 1940, he was married to Marcella A. Unruh, who predeceased him.



Survivors include a son, Jerald and wife Kaylene of Hillsboro; three daughters, Anabel and husband Lex deWit of Kimberly, South Africa, Sherry and husband Larry Jost of Peabody, and LaDonna and husband Stanley Balzer of Inman; two brothers, Wesley of Hillsboro and Ralph of Missoula, Mont.; a sister, Orpha Dirks of Goessel; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.



Memorial funds have been established for Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church and Gideons International.
