Next fall, Bethel College, North Newton, will offer a four-year
graduation guarantee policy for incoming freshmen.
The policy says if freshmen choose a major and stick with it, take
full-time loads each term totaling 31 hours per year and make
reasonable academic progress, Bethel will provide the courses needed
to graduate in four years. If the courses aren?t available, students
can attend them free of charge the next time the courses are offered.
A signed agreement backs the guarantee.
?Bethel College wants prospective students to know that a four-year
degree is a four-year degree,? Shirley King, dean of enrollment
services, said. ?We have a strong advising program that gives our
students substantial and consistent individual attention, and our
four-year graduation rate speaks
