The Marion/Florence Recreation Commission is offering a fishing derby
May 20 at Marion County Lake for children and youth ages 5 to 15.
Participants should bring their own pole, tackle and bait and meet at
the lake hall for the 8 a.m start. The event will conclude at 10 a.m.
Prizes will be awarded.
A registration fee of $5 is required the day of the event. Anyone
wishing to volunteer to help with the derby should call Margo Yates at
