BOATING & FISHING: Lakes set weight and creel limits

Wondering about the length and creel limits at Marion Reservoir, one

of the state?s top fishing lakes?



Following the limits currently posted on the Leisure and Sports Review

Web site:



Crappie: No length limit; creel limit of 50.



Channel catfish: No length limit; creel limit of 10.



Black bass: 18-inch length limit; creel limit of five.



Walleye: 18-inch length limit; creel limit of five.



Wiper: No length limit; creel limit of two.



The Web site also lists creel limits for other species which are in

effect at Kansas lakes unless otherwise posted: blue catfish (or in

combination with channel catfish) 10; sauger and/or saugeye 5; rainbow

trout and/or brown trout 5; black basses (largemouth, smallmouth

and/or spotted) 5; northern pike 2 (30-inch length limit); striped

bass 2; wiper 2; crappie 50; and white bass, bullhead, bluegill and

all other legal species, n
