Masonic Foundation offers scholarships for state residents

The deadline for low-interest student loans from the Kansas Masonic

Foundation is May 26.

The multi-year loans are available to Kansas residents attending a

Kansas institution of higher learning for one through four years.

Repayment starts one year after completion of school and is

accomplished over a four-year period with increasing annual payments

at a 5 percent interest rate on the unpaid principal balance.

The interest charge begins on the date of completion of the student?s

education or termination of the agreement.

For an application call or write the Kansas Masonic Foundation in

Topeka and request an application form and financial aid verification

form for student loans.

The top section of the financial aid verification form must be filled

out by the student and mailed to the financial aid office of the

school the student will be attending. With the application form,

students must enclose a statement of their education goals in 100

words or less, a recent official school transcript and at least one

letter of recommendation.

Incomplete forms will not be accepted.
