House Majority Leader Kent Glasscock announced plans to run for
Speaker of the Kansas House of Representatives.
?We just finished a good legislative session where House Republicans
came together and governed together, Glasscock said. ?I think everyone
left feeling good. I hope to continue the working atmosphere where
Republicans produce solid policy for the people of Kansas.?
Glasscock is in his fifth term representing Manhattan?s 62nd district.
?I would be honored if my colleagues select me to lead the House of
Representatives,? he said.
