HHS choirs earn trophies at festivals

Hillsboro High School choirs attended two music festivals on April 29

and May 5.



Spirit-N-Celebration competed at the State Music Festival, held April

29 at Kansas State University.



The Spirit-N-Celebration ensemble received a ?I? for its performance.



Included in the ensemble are Heidi Friesen, Josie Loewen, Jackie

Grunau, Andrea Luna, Chelsey D?Albini, Sara Janzen, Kristina Roble,

Tina Regier, Angela Kroeker, Jenna Jost, Scott Isaac, Carson Greenhaw,

Jonathon Regier, Scott Winter, Grant Wiens, Vance Frick, Garrett Call,

Ronnie Davis, Jimmy Janzen, Zach Unruh and Brad Just.



The girls and boys ensembles also received ?I? ratings.



The girls ensemble includes Heidi Friesen, Josie Loewen, Jackie

Davis, Jimmy Janzen, Zach Unruh and Brad Just.



Shannon Kroeker accompanied the three groups.



Soloists receiving ?I? ratings were Heidi Friesen, Carson Greenhaw,

Garrett Call, Jonathon Regier, Scott Isaac, Brad Just and Nick Unruh.



Chelsey D?Albini received a ?II? for her solo.



The HHS Concert Choir and Spirit-N-Celebration competed in the 18th

Annual Cavalcade of Music Festival, Saturday, May 5.



The concert choir won the first place trophy for Class AA concert

choirs with a score of 287 out of 300. Spirit-N-Celebration won the

first place trophy for Class AA chamber choirs with a score of 2
