Roland W. Vogts, 75, farmer, died May 2 at Via Christi Regional
Medical Center St. Francis Campus, Wichita.
Services were held May 5 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Canton, with
Pastor Michael Sharp officiating. Burial was at Immanuel Lutheran
Church Cemetery.
He was born Dec. 19, 1924 to Otto and Susie Auernheimer Vogts south of
Canton. On Oct. 5, 1952, he was married to Maxine Schlicht, who
survives him.
Survivors include sons, Stuart of Galva, Steven of Canton and Stacy of
Canton; a daughter, Sandra Schmidt of Canton; brothers, Richard and
Robert, both of Canton; sisters, Mildred Weyand of Canton and Ethel
Allred of Odessa, Texas; and 11 grandchildren.
Memorial funds have been established for Shiloh Manor Nursing Home,
Canton Ambulance Service and Immanuel Lutheran Church Children?s
