Marion County law enforcement officers were out in force Thursday at the Ampride convenience store, where they offered full service gas pumping from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. to raise funds for the Special Olympics of Kansas. The officers were in Marion the following day to do the same thing. On June, county officers will be involved in a torch run across Marion County benefitting the Special Olympics of Kansas. They will varry the torch to be used to light the flame at the start of the opening ceremonmies at Wichita State University on Friday, June 2. This is Marion County?s first year to be involved.
