ORIGINALLY WRITTEN BY STAFF
Doctors Don Hodson and Kim Hall, Marion Family Physicians, LLC, have announced plans to continue operating the Peabody Medical Center after local physician Ruth Sherman leaves the practice in April.

Hodson and Hall, who operate the Lincolnville Clinic and Marion Family Physicians as Rural Health Clinics, a federal program for rural locations, plan to establish Peabody Medical Center as an RHC site. In the process, the name will be changed to Peabody Clinic.

Ruth Reed, accredited registered nurse practitioner, plans to move from western Kansas to serve as the health care provider in the Peabody Clinic, working under the medical direction and supervision of the Marion Family Physicians.

?We look forward to introducing Ruth to the Peabody community,? Hodson said.

?Peabody Clinic serves a need that should not be left unmet, and we look forward to working with the community in providing its health care.

?We will work with Dr. Sherman to assure a smooth transition for patients who wish to continue to seek medical care in their local community.?
