A run on cheap gas

More than 100 customers were served during the hour-long ?cheap gas? deal at the Ampride station in Hillsboro on Friday morning. Cars lined up for a block and a half to the east and west prior to the 7 a.m. start. A similar promotion was held from noon to 1 p.m. at the Ampride in Marion. Lyman Adams, general manager at Cooperative Grain & Supply, owners of Ampride, tends to a customer.
