Northview Developmental Services, Newton, was awarded a fund reservation to construct four group homes. The homes will accommodate three residents per home with developmental disabilities.
The grant, funded under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development?s Section 811 Capital Advance Program, will provide $895,000 to support the construction of the project.
It also includes rental assistance to the tenants who meet eligibility criteria. Preference will be given to Northview consumers who receive residential services form the organization.
The project is anticipated to be completed in 12 to 18 months.
