Six Trojans named All-MCAA

Both the Hillsboro boys? and girls? teams placed three players on this years All-MCAA team.



Heading the list for the Trojans were Angela Kroeker and Grant Brubacher, both of whom were selected as unanimous choices for the first team.



Kroeker averaged close to 17 points per game this year, including more than 10 games of 20 or more points.



Brubacher took over the scoring role when senior teammate Tyson Ratzlaff went down with a foot injury. He led the Trojans in scoring and assists this season, and was second in steals.



Also selected to the girls? first team was Jill Hein. The sophomore guard scored almost 10 points a game.



Sara Janzen was an honorable mention selection. The senior provided stability for the Trojans and contributed points when called upon.



Tyson Ratzlaff and Jeremy Loewen were both selected as honorable mention players for the Hillsboro boys.



Ratzlaff was the senior leader for the Trojans, averaging 13 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals a contest.



Loewen, a junior, scored almost nine points per game and led Hillsboro in rebounds.



Hesston, Sterling and Wichita Collegiate each placed four boys on the team.



Hesston and Haven each had four players named to the All-MCAA teams. Hillsboro, Nickerson, Halstead, Sterling, Collegiate and Smoky Valley each had three.
