Marion to host World Day of Prayer service March 3

As part of the 2000 World Day of Prayer, the Marion area Church Women United are hosting a service at 7 p.m., March 3, at the Presbyterian Church in Marion.

This year?s service is led by Christian women of Indonesia and focuses on the theme ?Talitha Kumi: Young Woman, Stand Up!? based on Mark 5:42.

Christians in more than 170 countries around the world will participate in the observance.

Offerings will enable the ongoing work of Church Women United, the national committee of the United States for World Day of Prayer.
