Selected for state honors

Hillsboro High School principal Glen Suppes (gesturing) congratulates James Thomas (second from right) for being selected by the Kansas Association of Secondary School Principals as their ?Assistant Principal of the Year.? The statewide honor follows Thomas?s selection last fall as the top assistant principal in Area III of the state. Suppes called a special meeting of the high school faculty Friday after school to make the surprise announcement. Thomas has served as assistant principal for about five of the 20 years he has been at HHS. He has also served as activities director. Thomas will receive a plaque from the KASSP later this spring.
