For the second time in a year, the Cottonwood Valley State Bank, Burns Branch, was robbed at gun point.
According to the sheriff?s office, the bank was robbed a little after 2 p.m., Jan. 26, by two suspects, possibly female.
The suspects were wearing dark clothing, hooded jackets, pants and glasses. One suspect had a black handgun, thought to be an automatic. Their vehicle is a two-tone brown suburban, retro-fitted to be a low rider, with Oklahoma tags.
The Marion County Sheriff?s Department is investigating the robbery, in conjunction with the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and assisted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
