John J. Kirkpatrick, 69, retired truck driver and Army veteran, died Jan. 16 at his residence in Florence.
An inurnment service was held Jan. 21 at Wonsevu Cemetery, rural Burns, with Steve Thaden officiating. Burial was at Wonsevu Cemetery.
He was born Oct. 9, 1930, to John and Ruby Weigand Kirkpatrick in rural Newton. Survivors include two brothers, Ronald of Florence and Gary of Newton; and a sister, Evelyn Sidener of Burns.
Memorial funds have been established for the American Diabetes Association and the Florence Ambulance Service.
