The deadline for filing to run for a position in the city election is noon, Jan. 25.
Two positions are open in Hillsboro: the West Ward seat, currently held by Wendell Dirks, and the East Ward seat currently held by Mike Padgett.
Those wanting to file need to go to the city office.
A primary election, if necessary, will be held Feb. 29. The general election is set for April 4.
