County spelling bee to be held Feb. 10

ORIGINALLY WRITTEN
The Marion County Spelling Bee will be held at 10 a.m., Feb. 10, in the Marion City Building. Contestants from the 11 Marion County schools will compete.

Any home-school student in Marion County who has not passed the eighth grade and will not turn 16 before June 1 may enter a home-school preliminary spelling bee by contacting Rose Davidson at 316-382-8842.

Preliminary spelling bees need to be held soon so winners can advance to the county spelling bee.

Guests are welcome at the bee but will not be allowed to enter after 10 a.m. The Marion County Spelling Bee is hosted by Marion Elementary School.
