Meeting planned to discuss reservoir water quality

ORIGINALLY WRITTEN
A public meeting will be held to discuss Marion Reservoir water quality results at 1 p.m., Jan. 7 in the basement of the Marion City Building.

A representative from the U.S. Geological Survey will report on the water sampling done a year ago and what implications the findings have. Copies of the report will be available at the meeting. Data from the water samples collected by Tabor College students during rainfall also will be presented.

The meeting will provide an opportunity to ask questions about the Marion Reservoir Protection Plan, in operation for two years, and to decide whether to proceed with Phase 2 of the project.
