DEATHS: Edna Plenert, 93

Edna Plenert, 93, homemaker, died Jan. 3 at Hillsboro Community Medical Center.

Services will be held at 1 p.m., Jan. 6, at Trinity Mennonite Church, Hillsboro, with pastor Tim Kliewer officiating. Burial will be at Johannestal Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.

She was born March 22, 1906, to Jacob Ewert and Minnie Goertz in Hillsboro. On Oct. 15, 1930, she was married to Ben Plenert, who predeceased her.

Survivors include sons, Orley of Forrest, Ill., Howard of Lawrence and Dwight of Mansfield, Texas; daughters, Hazel Hein of Hillsboro and Verne Treaday of Buena Park, Calif.; brothers, Earl Ewert and Ben Ewert, both of Hillsboro; sisters Dora Bartel and Arpa Ewert, both of Hillsboro; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established for Hillsboro Community Medical Center Long-Term Care Unit.
