The Warriors lost in the first round of sub-state last year.
“A nice nucleus returns for us, so we should have plenty of experience and understanding of the program returning,” Schroeder said.
“This group is committed to hard work and becoming a better team. I like the chemistry and diversity that this...

“The team will have better depth with the return of two seniors Matt Hiebert and Brody Kyle,” coach Brian Simmonds said.
Both Hiebert and Kyle were starters on last year’s squad.
“But most of the depth of the team will come from the junior ranks.”
Three returning letter-winners—Hunter Pickens, Austin Savage and Seth Topham—are expected to make significant contributions this season, too.

“We are going to be fairly small and inexperienced this year,” said coach Greg Wyatt, who begins his third year as the boys’ coach. “We will have to rely on playing good, solid defense as well as being fundamentally sound on offense.”
Returning for the Cougars are seniors Trevor Hageberg, a 6-foot, 3-inch forward, Kordell Harding, a 6-1 forward, and Shane Methvin, a 5-9 guard.
The other letter-winners are junior guards Justin Deines and James?Wyatt.

“I am excited that we have five seniors who have played in a lot of varsity games,” said coach Jake Sims, who returns for his second year. “They played a lot for me last year, so they understand what I expect.
“That doesn’t mean wins necessarily, but it should mean competing in more games.”
The Eagles have seven seniors out, but also will definitely count contributions from several younger players, Sims said.
“Devon Helton and Trevor Unruh, they’re definitely going to have to step up to contribute on the varsity level,” Sims said. “Depth is obviously a concern for us. The quicker they can...
