Trojan Girls Fall in Championship Game

The Hillsboro High School girls' basketball team lost in the Championship game of the Southeast of Saline Tournament, but it was not because of a lack of effort. The Trojans were simply outsized by Junction City, a 6A school, and lost to the powerful Bluejays 57-49. Hillsboro had plenty of opportunities throughout the game to make a comeback, but it was not to be. Angela Kroeker led Hillsboro with 22 points in the contest. She and teammate Jill Hein were named to the All-Tournament team.
