Canton-Galva—The Eagles (0-3) lost to Elyria Christian, 39-33, and Little River, 66-22, in pool play at the Bluebird Classic in Goessel. Canton-Galva fell to Burrton, 56-26, to take sixth place in the tournament.

CGHS was scheduled to host Marion Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Centre—The Cougars (3-1) took second in the Herington Preseason Tourney this week.

Centre defeated the host team, 54-43, and Northern Heights, 64-47, before falling to Southeast of?Saline in the championship game, 57-46.

“We played pretty well and had an opportunity to win the championship,” coach Greg Wyatt said. “I’m proud of these guys for their hard work, effort, determination and play.”

Justin Deines led in scoring against SES with 16 points, followed by James Wyatt with 12 and Ty Simons with 11.

CHS was scheduled to host Elyria Christian Tuesday and Bennington Friday, with games beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Goessel—The Bluebirds (2-2) downed Central Christian, 53-50, and Burrton, 54-37, in pool play before falling to Little River, 48-42, to take second in the Bluebird Classic this week.

Nic?Buller led the team in scoring versus Little River with 12 points. GHS was scheduled to travel to Wakefield Friday before hosting Hope Dec. 18

Peabody-Burns —The Warriors (2-2) fell to Marion (4-0), 80-42, and Remington, 53-36, in pool play before defeating Belle Plaine, 45-35, to take fifth in the Marion Classic this week.

PBHS was scheduled to host Burrton Tuesday and Berean Academy Friday, with games beginning at 7:30 p.m.
