Canton-Galva —The Eagles (5-26) fell in the first round of sub-state Saturday at Lincoln, giving up two sets to Brookville-Ell Saline (25-15, 25-14. Brookville-Ell Saline (33-5) went on to win substate and earn a state tournament berth. The loss concludes CGHS’s season.

Centre—The Cougars (19-12) defeated Hartford (1-26) in two games (25-11, 25-19) in the first round of substate Saturday at Rosalia Flinthills, but couldn’t hang on against Olpe (29-4). Centre lost in two games, 11-25, 25-27 to an Olpe team that would go on to win the substate championship and a state tournament berth. The loss ends the Cougars’ season.

Goessel—The Bluebirds (27-9) ended a great run this season with a loss to Olpe (29-4) in the championship round of Saturday’s substate tournament in at Rosalia Flinthills.

Goessel earned a bye for round one and defeated Rosalia Flinthills in the second round (25-6, 25-9) before losing in two games to Olpe (19-25, 14-25). Olpe won substate and earned a berth at the state tournament Saturday.

Peabody-Burns—The Warriors (15-16) were eliminated in the second round of sub-state Saturday at Howard-West Elk, falling to Berean Academy in three games (18-25, 26-24, 11-25) after defeating Burden-Central (6-23) in two games in the first round (26-28, 25-17, 25-19). Berean went on to win sub-state and claim a state berth.

The loss concludes the Warriors’ season.
