The Marion volleyball finished regular-season play on a high note, beating out Canton-Galva and Berean Academy at the Moundridge Quad Tuesday to improve to a 14-17 record.
“I thought the girls played with great emotion and worked together well,” said coach Deanna Thierolf. “It was nice to end the regular season with two wins heading into league play.”
The Warriors swept Canton-Galva, 25-19 and 25-13, before defeating Berean in three games (25-18, 13-25, 25-10).
Marion had a good passing night as a team, posting 86 percent. They also served 82 percent and hit 89 percent with 24 percent kills.
Senior Briana Hall led the Warrior attack with nine kills. Kaelyn Thierolf added six, Montana Percell five and Kirsten Hansen and Katey Ehrlich three kills each.
On the defensive side, Percell led the team with 13 blocks and Hall also made double-digit blocks with 10.
