Canton-Galva—The Eagles competed at the Halstead Invitational Thursday.
Eli Janzen ran a personal-best time of 19 minutes, 10 seconds to place 15th.
“Eli has been progressing each race this year, and he put another solid race together today,” coach Lyle Silsby said.
Also competing in the varsity race were Lane Weins (21:31), Ren Dieker (23:13), Ben Young (24:23) and Trey Wedel (25:50). Running in the junior varsity race were Ethan Dailey (25:21) and Pedro Sartor (27:40).
For the girls, Brittany Decker finished third in the JV race in 19:52, followed by Jacey Cantrell (23:04), Katie Diehl (25;03) and Krystal May (26:02).
The Eagles are scheduled to run Thursday before competing in the Heart of America league meet at Bennington Oct. 11.
