Five Eagles, one Warrior receive HOA all-league recognition

Four players from Canton-Galva and one from Marion have received all-league recognition from Heart of America coaches.
Two members from the 15-7 Eagles were named to the first team: Aly Bressie at pitcher and Addi Marston as an infielder.
Bressie was 14-7 for the season with 122 strikeouts and an earned-run average of 1.32. Marston batted .378 with 19 runs batted in and 21 runs scored.
Erika Smith was named to the second team as an outfielder. She batted .312 with 14 RBIs.
Brittany Leffler received honorable mention.
For Marion (6-15), Annie Whitaker received honorable mention.
Ell-Saline, a Class 2A state qualifier (22-1), led the league with nine athletes receiving recognition, including six on the first team.

Outfield: Beth Doerksen, Inman; Erika Smith, Canton-Galva; Darby Wikoff, Ell-Saline.
