Centre—The Cougars played at the Marion Invitational May 1, coming in ninth.
Taking fifth was Dylan Svitak with a score of 85. Also competing were Kodey Johnson with 99, and Karl Riffel 143.
CHS was scheduled to compete at the Wheat State League tournament May 7 at Hesston before competing at regionals Saturday.
Goessel—The Bluebirds competed at the Marion Invitational May 1, taking second with a score of 361.
Shane Goertzen was their top placer, taking second with 84. Also placing was Trey Schmidt (10th, 90) and Braden Unruh (12th, 91). Other competitors included Stephan Goertzen with 96, Tyler Shulz 108 and Dan Smucker 110.
GHS was scheduled to play at the Wheat State League tournament May 7 in Hesston before competing at regionals Saturday.
Marion—The Warriors came up with a seventh-place finish at their home invitational May 1, scoring 406.
Hogan Lovelady took fourth for Marion with a score of 85. Also competing were Wiley Lundy (11th, 90), Aaron Molleker 102 and Jared Hague 129.
“Winds were atrocious,” said co-coach Thane Schwartz. “The greens played true and slowed as the day progressed.”
MHS was scheduled to compete at the Heart of America league tourney May 8 before competing at regionals Saturday.
Peabody-Burns—The Warriors competed at the Marion Invitational May 1, placing eighth with a score of 414.
Tommy Morris finished 15th, scoring 92. Also playing were Wes Shaw with 94, Matt Hiebert 95, Cierra Foth 133 and Brooks Hodges 147.
