Centre - The Cougars competed at the Remington Golf Tourney at Newton Thursday, placing sixth with 383 points.

Dylan Svitak shot 87 for a 10th-place finish. Also competing were Kodey Johnson with 96, Michael Baumgartner 98 and Karl Riffel 102.

CHS was scheduled to compete with St. Mary’s at Rolling Meadows golf course April 24 before going to Marion May 1.

Goessel - The Bluebirds competed at Bluestem April 16,

Shane Goertzen shot 79 for eighth place. Braden Unruh scored 86, Trey Schmidt 92, Stephan Goertzen 95, Tyler Schulz 117 and Dan Smucker 125.

GHS was scheduled to compete at Pretty Prairie April 23 before hosting Sedgwick Thursday.

Marion - The Marion golf team participated in the Remington Invitational April 19 at Fox Ridge Golf Course in Newton.

Wiley Lundy shot 84 for seventh place, Hogan Lovelady scored 86 for 11th place and Jared Hague shot 113.

“The tall grass rough spelled doom for many players,” said co-coach Thane Schwartz. “Placement shots were crucial. Fox Ridge was a course that made you be a creative shot taker.”

The Warriors were scheduled to compete at Salina Friday.

Peabody-Burns - The Warriors competed at the Remington Golf Tourney at Newton Thursday, coming in seventh with a score of 406.

Matt Hiebert shot 84 for fifth place. Tommy Morris had 104, McKenzie Ensminger 104, Brooks Hodges 114, Wes Shaw 130 and Cierra Foth 130.

PBHS is scheduled to compete at the Sedgwick Invitational Thursday before traveling to the Marion Invitational May 1.
