Parents of children between the ages of 4 and 18 years are invited to an information and sign-up meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, for the 19th year of the Hillsboro Wrestling Club.
The meeting will be in the Technology Lecture Hall at Hillsboro High School. The agenda includes signing up wrestlers for the new season, collecting fees and discussing upcoming wrestling events.
Last year, about 30 youth participated regularly in the program with four certified coaches providing the training, according to Scott O’Hare, club director and head coach. The club hosted its 13th annual tournament and competed in several other area tournaments.
Bronze-level coaches helping with the program in addition to O’Hare are Bill Simhiser, Sergio Gomez, Todd Helmer, Brandon Cummings, Ryan Hefley and Dylan Delk. Additional staff members are Brian Rogers and Bret Mueller.
If parents are unable to attend the Nov. 6 meeting but want their kids to participate, call O’Hare at 620-947-2378 or 785-470-1086. Fees need to be paid before the first practice, which begins at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14.
