If success in athletics is measured by championships, the basketball and track programs for the girls at Hillsboro High School easily topped the list of highlights in the area sports world in 2007.
Led by a senior core of JuliAnne Chisholm, Tina Frick and Hannah Marsh, the Trojan girls finished at the top of the heat in Class 3A in both sports.

Written by Hillsboro Free Press Wednesday, 05 December 2007 11:54Seventeen members of the Hillsboro Kids Wrestling Club competed in the annual Hillsboro Takedown Tournament in Brown Gymnasium on Saturday.
Two of the wrestlers, Ryan Stepanek and Braden Vogt, won their three-member pool with 2-0 marks. Competing during the day were 215 wrestlers from 21 clubs in central Kansas.

Runners will meet at the Hillsboro Scout House located in Memorial Park and follow from there the fun run course that winds through Hillsboro. Runners and walkers are welcome.
