The Tabor track and field teams took part in the Southwestern Relays Saturday.
The Tabor men earned two second-place finishes: Nathan Vogel in the 800 (1 minute, 54.96 seconds) and Ryan Chippeaux with a tie in the high jump (6 feet, 4 inches).
Three Bluejays placed third: Tyson Brockel in the 400 (53.03), Joel Allen in the 5,000 (15:31.76), and Michael Klaassen in the shot put (44-1.5).
The Tabor women, meanwhile, earned four gold medals: Emily Post in the high jump (5-3) and triple jump (35-6.75), Yvonne Brubacher in the pole vault (10-6), and Tynan Honn in the shot put (43-7.75, a distance that broke her school record and qualified her for nationals).
Post—who was named KCAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week and fourth time this season—claimed second in the long jump (17-9.75).
Four Bluejays claimed third: Makenzie King in the 400 (1:01.51), Ashley Kemling in the 800 (2:24.59), Kristen Harris in the pole vault (10-0), and Ruthann Ralstin in the hammer (131-6.25).
