Tabor soccer teams go 1-1 for week

The Tabor soccer teams earned the split this week, both losing to Kansas Wesleyan Tuesday before taking care of Friends at home Saturday in back-to-back conference games.

Both teams improve to 7-6 overall and 2-2 in the KCAC.

Tabor is scheduled to play a home game with McPherson College Wednesday before traveling to Bethany College Saturday. The KCAC matchups start at 5 p.m. for the women and 7:30 p.m. for the men.

Men?Tabor nearly pulled off the upset over No. 14 Kansas Wesleyan in a road conference matchup Tuesday, but in the end it slipped through its fingers.

The Coyotes finally scored with just eight minutes left to gain the 1-0 win.

Antoine Williams started in the net for tabor and recorded eight saves. The Bluejays were outshot 19-8 and 19-1 with shots on goal.

After absorbing the tough road loss to Wesleyan, the Bluejays bounced back to take down Friends University at home Saturday, 2-1. Stats were unavailable for this game.

Women? The Tabor women fell to Kansas Wesleyan Thursday, 6-1, for their second straight conference loss.

The Bluejays rebounded from that defeat to beat Friends Saturday, 3-0. Stats were unavailable for this game.
