Tabor men, women fall to McPherson

Kevin Koehn led Tabor with 16 points in a losing effort, Chad Premer and Dustin Frost each added 11. Tabor started off as cold as the snowy night, hitting only seven of 30 shots (23.3 percent) in the first half, but trailed by only three, 24-21 at intermission. The Bluejays warmed up in the second half, hitting 14 of 29 (48.3 percent), but could not overtake the Bulldogs, who outscored Tabor from the free-throw line, making 12 of 15, while Tabor shot only six free throws the entire game, making four. McPherson's Jay Alexander, the KCAC's leading scorer, had 22 points on 9-of-16 shooting and four 3-pointers. Meanwhile, the Tabor women dropped their game to McPherson, 82-65. Tabor trailed by only three points at intermission, 34-31, but were outshot from the field by McPherson, 30 percent to 53 percent, in the second half. Holly Ross has 12 points and Tami Jons 10 to lead Tabor.
