Tabor women defeat Haskell for 3-5 record

The Tabor women’s basketball team defeated Haskell Indian Nations University, 76-66, Tuesday.
The Bluejays improve to 3-5 overall in non-conference play heading into Tabor’s home conference opener with Sterling College Thursday.
Tabor hung onto a narrow lead at the half, 35-32, then outscored Haskell, 41-34, in the second half to clinch the double-digit win.
Janelle Rust led the Bluejay scoring attack with 177 points and also led on the boards with five rebounds. Jazmyne Smith also made double-digits with 10 points, helped by Becky Bryan with nine and Tynan Honn and Hannah Paust with eight a piece.
Coming—The Tabor women are scheduled begin their conference schedule with a home contest versus Sterling College Nov. 29. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
They are slated to travel to McPherson College Saturday, with tip-off at 5 p.m.
