Tabor men earn home shutout vs. MidAmerica Christian

TCmsocMACUSaar Tabor’s Marian Saar scored all four goals in the Bluejay’s shutout victory over MidAmerica Christian University Saturday.

The Tabor men’s soccer team picked up a 4-0 shutout win at home Saturday against MidAmerica Christian to improve its record to 5-4.

The women, meanwhile, lost to MidAmerica 3-0 to fall to 5-4.

Tabor is scheduled to open KCAC play against Sterling College at home Wednesday. The women will play at 5 p.m. and the men at and 7:30 p.m..

The teams are slated to travel to Southwestern Saturday, with games beginning at 3 p.m. for the women and 5:30 p.m. for the men.

Men—Tabor broke a two-game losing streak Saturday, with the 4-0 victory over Mid­America Christian.

Marian Saar scored all four of Tabor’s goals. He made the first one 28 seconds in, then added to two more goals in the first half.

Women—Tabor faltered against MidAmerica Christian with the 3-0 shutout loss.

The Evangels scored once in the first half and twice in the second.

Goal-keeper Amber Mayer started for Tabor and recorded 16 saves, MidAmerica outshot Tabor, 26-13 and 19-4 with shots-on-goal.by Katie Morford
