After Tabor took a 14-6 lead 6:09 into the first half, Bethel rallied to take a 22-20 advantage. A field goal by Kyle Kroeker knotted it 4:38 before the half expired.
Then Mike Rousell got a hand on a pass, setting up a steal by Kyle de Blonk. De Blonk sent a lead pass to Rousell, who finished the fast break with a 1-handed dunk.
Tabor at that point had a 24-22 lead, but entered intermission tied with the Threshers 25-25.

The loss moved the Bluejays into a third-place tie with hard-charging McPherson in the conference standings with one week left of regular-season games. It also took some of the luster off of Thursday’s sparkling 68-60 win over second-place Southwestern. Brittany Roth goes up for a shot and gets mugged by Jenna Wilson Thursday night in Hillsboro. Roth collected five rebounds and scored six of eight points at the foul line as Tabor evened out the season series against Southwestern.

TC sets for home opener

The Tabor College baseball team hosts its first homestand of the season this week, with twinbills set for Friday against Dana College and Saturday against Mount Marty.Both double headers begin at 1 p.m.
The Bluejays have gone 2-5 in seven non-conference games thus far. The season’s first double-header tilted toward host Oklahoma Baptist last Wednesday. Tabor lost the opener 16-10 and the nightcap 19-7. A 17-6 loss followed on Thursday.
Tabor picked up its first win of the season Friday at Southwest Assemblies of God. The hosts defeated Tabor in the first game of the doubleheader 14-4, but the Bluejays bounced back in the second contest, winning 14-4.
