Hillsboro Middle School principal Greg Brown (left) accepts the Kansas Association of Middle School Administrators? ?Gold Standard Award? from David Reiser of Great Bend, who is the organization?s ?Principal of the Year. KAMSA recognized middle schools that demonstrated significant achievement on state assessments during its spring conference luncheon May 7 at Washburn Rural Middle School. Fifty-four middle schools were awarded certificates indicating they had attained recognition in a state category or showed significant student growth. Schools earned recognition at one of three levels: gold, silver and bronze. The HMS certificate recognizes a gold achievement in reading and math.
