Goessel teacher named winner of Horizon Award

Zana Manche, agricultural education teacher for Goessel, USD 411, has been selected as a recipient of the Horizon Award. She is one of 32 winners of the 2013 Kansas Cable Telecommu­ni­cations Horizon Award.

This award has been created to recognize first-year teachers who perform in a way that distinguishes them as outstanding.

The 32 teachers, four elementary classroom teachers and four secondary classroom teachers from each region, will be individually recognized during a luncheon at the Kansas Exem­plary Educators Network conference in Topeka Feb. 22.
