Tabor to present ‘Steel Magnolias’ during Family Weekend, Feb.17-19

Tabor College will perform “Steel Magnolias” during Family Weekend, Feb. 17-19. with an additional performance planned for Feb. 24.
“Expect plenty of laughter and a bit of heartbreak from six small-town Louisiana women who spend a good deal of time together in Truvy’s Beauty Parlor,” said Judy Harder, director of the comedy-drama.
Fragile as magnolias and tough as steel, the women deal with whatever life sends their way, adding doses of humor whenever possible. This group of spunky characters are played by Becky Steketee (Hillsboro), Alisa Lynn (Olathe), Hannah Vogt (Newton), Hannah Evans (Wichita), Sydney Coughlin (Visalia, Calif.) and Sarah Wyckoff (Blackwell, Okla.).
Performances are planned for 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 1:30 p.m. Saturday, 1:30 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24. The drama will be in the Theater Lab in lower level of the Lohrenz Administration Building.
